How does Anankey test WordPress updates?
We spin up an isolated environment that mirrors your production site — same PHP version, same database version, same data. We apply the update there first and check every page in your sitemap for errors. If everything passes, the update is safe to apply.
How are backups stored?
Your files and database are backed up to encrypted cloud storage in the European Union. After the first full backup, only changed files are transferred — so a small plugin update takes seconds, not hours. Backups are retained for 90 days and can be downloaded anytime from your dashboard.
Do you support WordPress Multisite?
Yes. Anankey fully supports WordPress Multisite networks. Install the plugin once on the network, and all sites in the network are monitored and backed up. The dashboard shows each site individually.
What happens if a backup stalls?
Anankey has a self-healing monitoring system. If a backup stalls, it's automatically detected and recovered within minutes. If automatic recovery fails, your site is flagged for attention in the dashboard. No data is ever lost.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored in the European Union and our infrastructure is fully GDPR compliant. Backups are retained for 90 days. After 90 days without activity, a site is paused; after 180 days, all data is permanently deleted.
